We are delighted to announce that we have successfully filled the post of Arts Co-ordinator.
Eileen Kerr has now joined the Arran Theatre and Arts Team and will be working closely with artists, organisations and the community on Arran and further afield to develop and support the arts programming on the island.
Eileen has worked in the arts industry for the last 6 years, and has a passion for supporting artists so that they can create work and develop their practises. She has worked across Scotland with a wide range of artists practising visual art, music, physical theatre, dance, circus, digital art to name a few. Eileen has worked with national and international organisations, and programmed large-scale outdoor festivals and events such as the International Launch of the Kelpies in Falkirk, the Launch of the John Muir Way, and Surge Festival in Glasgow, residencies, symposia and gallery exhibitions.
"I'm really excited to be working on Arran, and am thankful to the Arran Theatre and Arts Trust for the opportunity. I spent many happy childhood summers exploring Arran so it's a dream to be back to work here years later. I'm looking forward to working closely with Arran's artists and the wider community to develop and grow an ambitious programme which is of the island, and which really reflects the island's talents".
